Poor Xiao'yu, she and Xiaoqiao got off to the wrong start with the latter wondering out loud how to descale and cook the poor fish. It took her a while to warm up to her trainer as a result. But in spite of that, Xiao'yu has become extremely tolerant of her trainer's antics (even the throwing)...perhaps because she's touched by Xiaoqiao's unique sort of gentleness.
Believing that Xiao'yu has her own brand of strength they focus on 'grace training' rather than typical battle training. Of course it's important to be strong too, those fancy jumps take crazy muscle control. She's becoming more confident and proud of herself, if nothing else her ability to deal with Xiaoqiao's quirks is something to be admired.
It's strange but she seems to be glittering a little...?

Xiaoqiao is so extremely excited about her flaming horse. Flaming Rabbit is everything she hoped for plus fire and a pointy horn. Basically he's beyond perfect.
He's naturally mild mannered and obedient. While he has no intention of harming his trainer Xiaoqiao has trained him from hatching to bite, kick, and otherwise strike humans and pokemon alike. Basically she trains him like a war horse and she trains him hard, he doesn't really mind though. People who don't know him might think he's aggressive but he has an overall sweet and mild temperament. It's Xiaoqiao that's the issue here.

A strong and dedicated little guy! Maybe it's because he's young but he's quite naive and curious as well. Very eager to please his trainer, initially he was somewhat jealous of the attention Xiaoqiao paid Flaming Rabbit. When Xiaoqiao made him a sash to wear around his waist he was able to evolve from happiness! Of course she'd given it to him as an improvised weapon...but he loves it and wears it at all times. It's a red sash with a weighted ornament (rock) attached by decorative knotting.

That said he finds a lot of Xiaoqiao's antics rather amusing so he doesn't mind being partnered with her. He has a strange, squeaky laugh that she finds really cute.

They've fallen into a sort of routine in terms of training but Zahna still seems a bit restless. She has, however, grown fond of her new trainer and has a tendency to worry about her almost like a mother would.
Xiaoqiao has trouble pronouncing her name properly so sometimes Zahna doesn't know to answer when she calls.

Xiaoqiao honestly thought she accidentally walked over someone's grave when Sangang started following her in the Ruins. It freaked her out, it wasn't until Zahna knocked her out that Xiaoqiao realised Sangang was a pokemon. Rather than spiteful Sangang just gives the impression of a horribly lonely soul, as if she has spent forever alone. It's hard to tell but she seems happy to be a part of Xiaoqiao's growing pokemon army.

Nianmian ruins Xiaoqiao's hair, it's kind of frustrating. Aside from that Nianmian has trouble with Xiaoqiao's aggressive training and is still rather reluctant to train against her. He's a bit shy compared to the others so it takes a while for him to warm up to new teammates (who come frequently because, well...). Seeing Xiaoqiao's fondness for pink and red he decided to go ahead and evolve to try to become closer with his trainer.
Because he thinks he has to be pink he's refusing to evolve. Xiaoqiao is trying to tell him that she doesn't mind whatever colour he might be after evolving but she keeps getting more pink pokemon. At least for now he's reluctant to evolve.
