Maybe turning his head to the spot where her hand was, before returning back to the general direction of her face again.
That's another thing. Xiaoqiao speaks as if she has more than a few years over him, but doesn't appear any older than Shino himself. Fortunately age means very little to a shinobi, below rank and affiliation, and he has at least enough social grace to not question her age.
