001 ✭ video

Where's the nearest waterfall? [ forget manners or introductions, she just thought of something and she's too excited to bother with anything else! in fact she couldn't even wait to sit down properly, just turned the gear thingy on while she was sitting in the grass after a training session with her ponyta. ]

Oh, um! I'm in Cherrygrove so...where's the nearest waterfall from there? [ this is all for you, Xiao'yu. clearly a waterfall is the solution to training you! there's some splashing noises coming from vaguely behind her where her feebas is resting in a bucket of water. Xiaoqiao does not seem to notice. ]

I think Flaming Rabbit will be strong enough to ride long distances soon, I've been training him every day since he hatched! So, so I think he'll be okay even if the trip is a bit long...

[ her ponyta wanders by, sitting down next to her and resting his head in her lap. yeah...her ponyta is named Flaming Rabbit. she plays with the flaming mane for a moment. ]

Or should I start with a river?

[ oh right, video is still on. ] Oh! Thank you in advanced for your assistance!

[ she totally remembers to have manners, see! ]

A waterfall? I haven't seen any yet. But I haven't crossed sea West of Ecruteak. There might be one that way...

Why do you need a waterfall? I mean they're really pretty and I would love to paint one, but that's why I would want one.

So you're plan is to have your Feebas swim against the Waterfall to train her?

...Would that really work? It'd be very cool if it did but maybe you should just try having it battle?

But... that's a Feebas, not a Magikarp.

*Imogen...*

Anyway, just, be careful. There are a lot of ways pushing that hard can go wrong. She can either resent you for it or be so determined they push too hard and hurt herself.

Have you tried to figure out how what she wants to do training wise? Asking her might help!

That's not how Pokemon work. Be cool if it did.

If you find someone with a psychic type they can translate for you. Otherwise there are a few people that can manage it for you.

*Imogen gets quiet as she thinks of what would make this easier for her, which really wouldn't make it easier at all.*

Some! It isn't super common so you gotta be really good to understand them. Personally I just try to read their emotions and expressions and guess as best I can!

I'm not very good with dinosaurs, but I'm really good with rodents!

Close! Here they are totally different.

*At home they are totally different for a different reason.*

Here Dinosaurs aren't as smart as Dragons. That's really the main thing.

And you watch her swim, duh. *Seems obvious to Imogen.*

Dinosaurs have been dead for millions of years where I'm from, and here too. It's complicated.

I guess you can swim with her, but watching her is better. How she moves will tell you a thing or two about her mood, just like you watch any land creature's movements.
